Remote control

Forums:

Teamviewer, Anydesk, remote utilities... all these and more are remote control applications that allow your friendly neighbor or your technician to access your computer for remote help.

How many of you actually know what the settings on your remote control applications are?

How many of you know whether it's secured that it only allow connections you actually would allow?

Does your application run in the background? if so, did you authorize that?

Next time you have your technician install for you a software of remote control, ask him or her if it is secured so only when you authorize it they can access or whether it's just the ID and password and anyone can access your pc?

I started using remote utilities recently since it allows easy configuration of secure connections only from specific IPs, allowing much more control over the security of your device.
