Claim check: Iphone is better

I have gathered claims from various sites why Iphones are better and decided to answer those claims by either agreeing or disagreeing with the claims made.
This article is meant for people who actually want to learn about what is better where and not for fans who just want to claim their superiority no matter what.
This article is based on facts not personal opinion.

Better Hardware and Software Integration - the claims seem to be based on rumor more than on fact, long presses to open menus aren't something new, if you have the possibility for pressure sensing, I'm sorry to tell you, that's not newer technology. remember those nokia phones with buttons?

Great Cameras - I won't go into each and every phone out there, but let's compare the samsung S6 with the newest Iphone 6s
Samsung S6:
Primary 16 MP, f/1.9, 28mm, OIS, autofocus, LED flash, check quality
Features 1/2.6" sensor size, 1.12 µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, Auto HDR, panorama
Video 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, 720p@120fps, HDR, dual-video rec., check quality
Iphone 6s plus
Primary 12 MP, f/2.2, 29mm, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, check quality
Features 1/3" sensor size, 1.22 µm pixel size, geo-tagging, simultaneous 4K video and 8MP image recording, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR (photo/panorama)
Video 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps,1080p@120fps, 720p@240fps, optical stabilization, check quality
Secondary 5 MP, f/2.2, 31mm, 1080p@30fps, 720p@240fps, face detection, HDR, panorama

Except for Mega pixels it is correct according to technical details that Iphones are better at taking more accurate pictures, though i never had any issues with the amazing pictures my Nexus 5 is taking.

It's the Easiest Phone to Use - A claim that is completely subjective. but let's try and give some facts regarding this "ease of use" most of us have a desktop environment at home on a mac or windows machine or even a linux machine.

What do all of these desktop environments have in common?
That's right, your desktop isn't crammed with every shortcut of every application you have installed on your machine, You can customize your desktop to place the ones you mostly use or just the ones you wish to have there.
Android allows you to have your desktop space to place only those shortcuts you want to have and not every single application you ever installed.

I'll let you think it over for a while in your heads.

OS Updates When You Want Them - A half true claim, while apple does allow you to upgrade your machine to the newer IOS it has it's problems as well:
1. older upgraded iphones become slow and unresponsive due to the IOS being built for newer Iphones with stronger hardware specs
2. After a while you don't have a choice whether you wish to upgrade, since some applications force you to upgrade or not be able to use them.

The Best Apps First + the app store - Might be true. but the google store is larger and a lot of apps that cost money on the appstore have free alternatives on the google play

No Bloatware! - true

Works beautifully with Macs - according to statistics worldwide, the most prominent OS for used on desktops is not Mac but Windows, I'm not sure how much that makes Iphones superior.

Apple Pay - was true, nowadays there is also google pay or wallet, or whatever it is called, I don't use it, never found a reason to use my phone as a credit card.

Family Sharing - true, but not completely, It is true that apple users can configure a family sharing program and enjoy that, but unlike Android you do not have the capability for multiple users per device, which would allow people to save money on multiple devices for privacy.

Best Support and Help - While it is true Apple have "geniuses" at apple stores, but android have entire forums of help regarding how to solve your issues, regarding the repairing functions, Nowadays that's not really a thing since you have small shops that can fix almost anything on Android as well.

Consistency - That is a thing of taste, nothing to do with superiority.

Malware marketplace - False, see this article for reference: http://thehackernews.com/2015/10/apple-ios-malware-apps.html http://thehackernews.com/2015/09/hack-ios-airdrop.html http://thehackernews.com/2015/09/mac-os-x-vulnerability.html

Home base - Sounds good as how you've put it, the question is if it is so useful why are people with Iphones going to repair shops instead of the Apple stores for repairs? If it is true, then that is great.

The iPhone user interface is much more polished - Not true, I don't know what Android phone you are referring to, but Android had the capabilities already for a long while of word suggestions depending on the context of a sentence or the letters typed.

The iPhone app ecosystem is markedly better - used to be true, less so as time moved forward, there are a lot of dedicated Android developers these days.

iOS is stronger at the technical detail level - the article itself states that in the end it's about the same. Complaining about phone companies releasing upgrades late doesn't really count as a superiority for Iphones, Measure it according to when the manufacturing companies release the new versions. (if you buy a phone outside the phone companies you get upgrades by the manufacturer and not the phone company, plus you get no bloatware)

Fundamentally, the iPhone is more of a phone - Pointing out it is more of a phone by saying it's camera is better is a bit unclear.

Better design - A matter of taste but let's give it a true

Few Android cameras can compare with iPhone 6's camera - true, most Android phones have much higher Megapixels than the Iphones.

No Android phone can match iPhones' fingerprint sensor - http://webcusp.com/list-of-all-fingerprint-scanner-enabled-smartphones/

Soon, you'll be able to control a lot of stuff in your home with your iPhone - so can you with your Android.

Reliability - Unsure to what year of phones you are relating to, Have not seen a lot of error messages with newer phones. I have seen my fair share of iphones freezing and also error messages, But then again, it's more related to the software you install than the firmware.

Media - False, Iphone require you to buy your music from their virtual store, if you already have bought the CDs with that music to have at home, you have a hard time playing it through your iphone due to Iphone restrictions on playing media that isn't from their store, making it impractical for people who have had other phones in the past.

Loyal Fan Base - I'm not sure what makes having a loyal fan base a superiority.

Conclusions: It is true that in some aspects Iphone have a better experience than Android, but when buying a new phone you should look at the pros and cons
Android pros
More advanced hardware
Desktop like environment on your phone
Easy to move Media files from your pc to the phone without needing a dedicated program that will be a middle man.
Model Variety, A phone to fit each person's expectations of their phones
Multi users per device - Allowing a parent to loan the phone to their kids without needing to allow them access to stuff they shouldn't access.
Price is mostly lower.
Vast Forums on the internet on how to fix issues
Open source, Allowing anyone to write their own program without needing a license just to build a small app for himself / herself

Iphones pros
Better Design (it's more of a matter of taste, but let's give that point to Iphones)
Camera shots are supposedly slightly better colors
Apple does give you a place to come and complain and get help.
Same visual appearance UI (Not sure why that is a pro)
